Looking to expand their gift-giving reputation beyond their typical holiday and corporate gifting, Harry & David wanted to introduce products that help capture key moments in which customers come together and celebrate with food. UNIT was selected to develop patterns to wrap various snack towers that engaged new target audiences, while still appealing to their core customer.SOLUTION
Focusing on three key arenas, patterns were developed to capture sales for previously underrepresented categories. UNIT collaborated with Harry & David to identify unexpected purchasing opportunities. Using geometric shapes we created whimsical, floating fruit and bee icons that can be used for children’s birthdays and events for a monthly fruit delivery service. Football jersey numbers and field vernacular captured Super Bowl party favors and sporting events. For graduates or back-to-school gifting, crests and ivy league illustrations were used to appeal to parents, while utilizing a modern color palette to entice students.RESULTS
