Joan & David tasked UNIT to create a brand refresh for their New York flagship store based on their new focus of premium materials and textures.SOLUTION
UNIT’s goal for developing the environment was to focus on the warmth and richness of the textures that inspired the products. Dark tones provided a sophisticated environment for the products. The focal element was a tiled unit that was suspended away from the wall to give a sense of depth, light, and shadows. UNIT used various animal prints that were reflective of the materials used on the shoes themselves.RESULTS
Retail guests were delighted by the sensory engagement. They were attracted by the blown up textures from across the room, and that in turn enticed them to pick up the actual shoes and feel the actual leathers.CLIENT
