Tsubo uses their proprietary comfort insole technology to marry fashion-forward and sporty style footwear. They tasked UNIT with developing their B2B catalog for their Autumn/Winter shoe collection. Design inspiration for each season is drawn from a different architectural landmark. This season leveraged the Sundial Bridge, designed by Santiago Calatrava.SOLUTION
Using the bridge as inspiration, UNIT focused on the bold, industrial asymmetrical tower juxtaposed with the surrounding organic environment of the state park for the catalog. The cover collage combines Tsubo shoes, insoles, and outsoles with natural elements to create a sophisticated Autumn/Winter landscape. Once inside, breaker spreads showcase the bridge and product photography. We used a perforated typeface to mimic the perforations within the comfort insole technology, and included 3D diagrams to illustrate the insole layers. Product spreads remain clean and minimal allowing the shoes to be the hero.RESULTS
Buyers quickly understood the Tsubo's unique value proposition (comfort insole technology) through easy-to-understand diagrams. Large editorial-style imagery helped reposition the company as a lifestyle brand.CLIENT
